I have to say that I really think our Gender Reveal Party goes down
as a success. I had a great time planning and preparing this party, and the partyitself was such a blast!
To start off, I made the invitations myself.
I found a picture on google images (green dots)
and edited in picnik online. I had so much fun
creating the pink and blue owls out of
random shapes and graphics! I then uploaded
them to walgreens.com and ordered
4x6 prints and handed them out
to our family and friends. Easy peasy.
Sister and I made paper buntings and tissue paper pom poms.
These are seriously two of the easiest decorations to make.
There are tutorials all over the internet, so I won't waste
your time. Not to mention, you get the most bang for
your buck: they're CHEAP!
We had our guests help us pick out some middle names
for the male and female name that we had picked out.
It seems as if "Wynn" and "Belle" are the favorites!
Of course you have to have sweet goodies if
you are going to have a party! We picked up random
pink and blue candies and simply arranged them
in clear bowls to let them be their own little decor.
We had starbursts, mike and ikes, crunch bars,
almond joys, blue hershey's kisses, strawberry malt
balls, and raspberry dove along with our
amazing owl cookies, owl cake, peanuts, and a cheese ball.
To drink we had blue raspberry koolaid and
pink lemonade crystal light water. Easy peasy.
Another way to get the guests involved,
have them tally their vote on a custom chalkboard.
My parents in their colors...
Aunt Morgan was on Team Blue.
Hubs and I wore pink and blue in order not to sway the vote :)
Finally we showed the video.
We paused it just as "It's a..." was typed on the ultrasound to cut the cake...
The color of the cake revealed the gender of our
sweet nugget!

Like I said I had an amazing time planning this party.
I would certainly do it over and over again. It was so
much fun and such a great way to share the excitement
with your family and friends.
