Did you register?
Where did you register?
Is it improper to register at more than one place?
Tell me about your registry experience... Did people actually buy off the registry?
{being a newlywed, and showers still a close memory, i realize people buy whatever they want anyway}
Stores we have locally are Wal*Mart, Target, Burlington, and JCPenney, but I really want to register some things at Babies R Us.
What are some of the best items to put on a registry?
Here is the "ultimate registry" from thebump.com
I want to hear your ideas!

I registered at Walmart and Target. Nobody really bought off my registries though and I got a lot of clothes for my baby girl. I think we maybe got 5 or 6 things off our registry.
I registered at Target & babies R us, suprisingly I got EVERYTHING on my registry. I registered for everything I could think I needed. Carseat/Stroller combo, Bottles, bottle brushes for cleaning, vibrating chair, swing, boppy, play mat, baby bath tub, clothes, diapers, etc. I even had my breast pump on there ($280) & people from work bought me that. It cant hurt to put it ALL on there. I found it easier that I only registered at the one place. A friend of mine registered at several places & it was hard to keep track of who got what and which one & which store it came from...especially if she got more than one thing, which happened because some people were only checking one registry.
ps let me know when you do register bc I have a problem with buying baby girl things. they're too cute- I actually find something and THINK of who I can get it for LOL!
We registered at Babies R Us and Target but we have both locally. I don't know if we will get anything from them but we have our first shower January 6th!!!

We registered at Target and it is kind of hit or miss with the registry. Most of my friends and close family bought off the registry but my hubbys family didn't. I was thankful for everything I received, of course but don't count on getting everything you need.
We registered at Buy Buy Baby (think Bed Bath and Beyond, but babies--they're the same co.) and at Target. Personally, I did not care for my Target registry, because I had rude people "help" us, and I couldn't return anything for cash even with a gift receipt; whereas I could at the other. I got multiples of things from Target, couldn't find other stuff from there we needed, but could only get credit (not that I don't love Target, but at the time, I was baby-focused, not buying for myself). Plus, places like Buy Buy Baby and Babies R Us accept competitor's coupons and match prices. So, if you find something you don't receive, you can use those things to get it for less.
I got a lot of things from my registry, and I agree with the others--don't discount the possibility that people will join up and get you a big ticket item.
As for the things we couldn't live without? The Boppy infant lounger, the Bumbo chair & tray (for when she can start to sit up), bassinet...oh and multiples of things like crib sheets, changing pad covers, etc. Because there will be poop lol :)
