.Bath Time.
It plagued me while pregnant. I was so worried about the temperature, slippery baby skin, soap, etc. I had never really bathed a baby before. Toddlers, yes. Infants, no. I was so scared of hurting my baby. I feared getting soap in her eyes, scalding her, etc.
Now, bath time is one the best bonding moments we have.
Before her yucky belly button thing fell off our bath was extremely adequate. It is a baby spa with a "shower head" that sprinkles water on the little one. She loved bath time from the first time we bathed her. It calmed her and helped with digestion, too.
We have this awesome bath rag {pictured above} that is perfect for keeping her warm in the bath.
Once her cord fell off we still bathed her in that tub, but were able to fill up up. She still loved it.
I then got brave.
I took her in the tub with me.
She loves that even more, and so does mommy. It is amazing. She loves to splash and lay back and float for some relaxation. She enjoys watching the running water, and even tries to lap it up. She does not fret when water gets in her face, in fact, I think she likes it. I've not ever worried about the temperature. That's where mommy instincts kick in.
I encourage every mommy, to bathe with her child. It's such an amazing experience. I've even nursed my girl while relaxing in the tub. We have so much fun splashing and playing. And she ain't too slippery.
Bath time ain't half bad.

Aww, I bathed with my daughter when she was a baby too. I was absolutely sure I'd always bathe her by herself in a baby bath but hey, mommy instincts kick in and things change! :)
