Saved from Bloggy Suicide!

I almost quit today.
I almost threw in the towel.
I reached out to Nichelle of Vintage Wanna Bee as an act of desperation.
She's big time, ya know?
I expected a response within the week, not immediately, but she responded within the hour.
She overwhelmed me with support and ideas to get my lil ole blog up and hopping.
Needless to say, we're bloggy BFFs now.
She's the bomb and makes cute stuffs too!
see how cute she is???

Thanks to everyone who saved The Mrs!!!

You ladies are stars... and you saved me from committing bloggy suicide!!
Here is what I posted just before I wrote Vintage Wanna Bee:

I give up.
I'm no good at this.
No one reads this junk.
I mean who am I compared to Little Miss Momma, Vintage Wanna Be, and Amanda Lynne Designs?

I have no time to do this.
So I half way do it and end up looking like a 'tard.

I even got ambitious and created a facebook page.
It opened my eyes to the fact that no one cares.

I tried to post about style...
and wandered.
I tried to post about crafts...
and wandered.
I tried to post about my marriage...
and wandered.

I know who I am.
I am honest and open, but it's just not enough.
I don't have what it takes to make it here in "bloggy world."

So this is it.
I give up. I'm on my last limb of making things and diving into my lame excuse for a "shop."
I'm wasting my time.
I've sold nothing.
I'm apparently doing this completely wrong.

So if you're out there, and you read this, let me know.
'Cause I do this for myself, but I try to encourage and inspire.
I don't think I'm doing it.

I feel like I'm talking to no one.

A hobby I once loved, has overwhelmed me.
I need your support if "The Mrs" is to go on...
If you enjoy reading my junk, please tell me cause i'm about to let 'er go.

But this is not the case... Whew. Bad day, we defeated you!

I think those same thoughts pretty much EVERYDAY!!!! I started my blog around the same time as Nichelle, and well she rocks and me, not so much. Embrace the love. I found you via Maria/Nichelle. They both had [posted about you on Facebook, so I went and liked you, checked out your shop, and then came over here to follow. Feel the love!!!! You are loved. No suicides allowed!!!!

Hey girly, Im so sorry that you were feeling like this! :( I feel terrible, because I was the one who encouraged you to start your FB page. I wanted to do it to encourage you and help you grow, and I figured with your giveaway coming up on my blog that it would help! I never thought it would be something to bring you down. :(
The thing you need to understand is that things like these take time, and MAJOR dedication. If you love it.. you gotta just keep at it.. slow go or not! We cant all be Vintage Wanna Bee's or Little Miss Mommas.. I know Nichelle came out of nowhere and just exploded! Me I have had my blog a little over a year now and am only JUST now hitting 400 followers. Yes, thats a bummer sometimes.. and yes I too sometimes feel like a big loser and that Im not as great as others.. but that is completely wrong thinking because for one... I LOVE what I do.. I started my blog and shop because I wanted to share what I love and connect with others who were the same as me. And for two, I look up to and am inspired everyday by other big blogs/bloggers so there is no reason to feel down.
Also.. I had my shop open for several months before I even got ONE sale.. I kinda felt lame and not sure I should continue on.. but im slowly but surely growing.

Anyways.. girly Im glad you didnt throw in the towel, because you are completely adorable! I am glad you contacted me about sponsorship and I am so glad to be part of the reason you are staying! If you need anything, please dont ever hesitate to ask, email or facebook me! :) I know I have been slow to my email lately.. with Easter its been a crazy week.. but now that things are getting back to normal.. you can always count on me to be there for you! :)

I like your blog!!!!! i read every post!!!!!! :)

my blog went through an awkward 25...24...23...26 followers phase haha. I tried some blog hops, and started really putting myself out there and commenting on a LOT of peoples stuff. that's what helped me!

I'm so glad we found you in time! And like the others said, it can be hard, upsetting, frustrating etc etc but remember why you started doing this in the first place! It makes you happy! If you're happy and believe in yourself people will come! :) We are all here for you! <3

I've felt the same as you many many times. I still do at times. Don't worry, if you're having fun, it's worth it. I wish I had great advice, but I'm a little blog too. And I don't want a shop or a FB page so I'm just doing it my way... slowly! I've been reading some of your posts and I like your style! I'm your newest follower. :)
